Invalid record file error

I can't upload records for the home made levels. Considering that Silence of the Chicks is really old, I don't expect you to fix this error, renboy. I'm just commenting about it in case it's supposed to be working.

Also, renboy, what are the chances of you providing a home-made-version version of the normal levels?. I'd be really glad to be able to have a replay of normal levels since record attempts can be really hard and also it's easy to forget how you did some attempt, so it would be nice.

Well, no surprise here... no one's replied. No forum activity lately... much less here in the Silence of the Chicks forum.

Anyway, since I can't upload records for the homemade levels, I just wanted to say that I've beaten almost all of the homemade levels, including the ones by bardus. I don't know if most of bardus' levels have no records because they're hard or if it's because uploading records wasn't working 2 years ago either, but what's for sure is that bardus' levels are really hard. He must have some experience with designing puzzle platformers as well as with knowing -back then when he uploaded his levels- all of the gameplay details of Silence of the Chicks. Some of his levels even seem to be specifically factored to look impossible to solve!, but I got most of them.

I'm still missing the solution for The dreaded jump but since there's a record by garjado, it means there must be a solution.

I got the solution for all of the rest of bardus' levels. Some are easier because you can use the egg trick. Particularly hard are The fat chick and The egg journey part II where I found the intended solution, but then in The egg journey 2 extreme, where pulling the intended solution would be indeed really hard, I found the easier solution.

Great levels. Not only bardus', but everyone's... the ones by bardus are just the hardest of all by far.

As if Silence of the Chicks weren't a great game already, the homemade levels make it even better. I wish there were more homemade levels.

Great game, renboy, much like Temporal.

P.S.: renboy, do you have a copy or something of the old Silence of the Chicks forums?. I'm sure I would have some fun reading it.

P.S.2: renboy - last visited: march 16. mara - last visited: march 20. I guess you're only checking the Temporal forum, huh?... who would be posting here, after all?...

Oh yeah.. completely missed this forum

I'll try to look into the homemade upload glitch, if it's something small (probably is) I'll fix it.

It will be really hard to actually restore the old forums of SorC - however, I do have an excell file with all the posts of the forums there - so might be able to dump it in some readable form somewhere here - but don't hold your breath ;)

And first record on the SotC tables!!
You have proven again just how insane you can get when you want to :D
I wish I'd have finished the replay option for SotC, and since the whole game can be finished in such a short time - had some sort of start-to-end replay of sorts... oh well. we'll always have Temporal for that.

Yeah, I was trying to get as close to the first place as possible but it was starting to look impossible. Then, luckily, I found a way to save 10 seconds in a single level and now I'm first place.

And I'm nowhere near as addicted as I was with Temporal but your games are really addictive. They're great the first time you play them, but if you like breaking records, figuring out how other players did it so fast, etc., then they have a huge replayability level. I guess the online score boards add that final ingredient of addiction to your games.

Now, as with Temporal, I guess there's not much left for me to do in SotC. Well, I still don't know how to get 6 chicks in Sleepless, but I'm completely lost there. I may also try to make home made versions of some of the normal levels to get a replay in case I forget the solution... but that'll be all.
